For all of the public beach accesses, please see here:
http://www.longboat-key.net/beach.shtml There are some beach loungers and sun umbrella at our garage for your use. Please return them, so other guests can also enjoy them. Burn some calories or just enjoy the ride with the family by taking the bicycles to the nearby Blue Dolphin Café (http://bdc.jahmobileapp.com) or Harris (http://harryskitchen.com). It's a great way to start the day!
thanks to my former french teacher from high-school i just recently discovered this gem - www.thecortezkitchen.com. Thanks Lucie aka Mrs. Schneering :-) I don't know how I did not know about this. So if you are into casual dining with an old Florida style, you will love this place. You can see the fishermen come in with theirs boats, white pelican while having delicious food. My phone was out of batteries, so no pics but here are a few from their website. They even have live music. Its just a few minutes from our townhome in Longboat Key and worth the drive.
.There are some bycicles for young and older in the garage at the unit. Feel free to use them while vacationing with us. My kids love the beach across the street and you will too :-) One of our all times favorites, the Old Salty Dog now offers breakfast. We enjoy going there, followed by a visit to Mote Marine across the street. We love the baby seahorses at Mote Marine aquarium the most.
When staying with us do not miss going to the Old Salty Dog (http://theoldsaltydog.com/) across the Mote Acquarium. It's old style casual Floridian dining at its best with great views seeing boats and wildlife flying/swimming by while eating a hot dog on a frisbee-dish :-) They have great oysters and lobsters in season.
But it just got even better as they started also serving breakfast. For more info -visit http://theoldsaltydog.com/ & http://www.snntv.com/…/old-salty-dog-learns-new-breakfast-…/ See you there soon! |
