Day trip & great 2Day get-away! Universal Studios, Orlando

We just came back from a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando (www.universalorlando.com). We bought the 2 day tix & express pass, which allowed us to enter both Universal & Islands of Adventure Park. The express pass allowed us to take more rides as waiting in regular line wld take sometimes up to 110 min. That wld have not been fun during summer time in Florida. WAY TOO HOT. So - although pricey - we do recommend that option. My kids loved the Minions & old but classy E.T. ride. We did stay at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort, which was a good value with small kids. Their Starbucks inside was my little oasis away from the sometimes overwhelming family craze. Buses to the parks go every ten minutes. If you want to make it a day trip - plan 2 hours & 15 minutes for each way.
